How do I assign a track to a workout?

When editing a workout you will see a complete list of all your tracks. Select the desired track in the basic information section and enter a number of laps or a deviation if necessary. By assigning a track to your workout, the altitude profile of the selected track will be assigned to your workout as well.

How do I import files with training data?

At the moment supports files recorded by an iPod Nano with a Nike-chip as well as TCX-files, recorded with the Garmin Forerunner.

The iPod files can be uploaded using the software.

TCX-files contain two different information:
1) GPS-data of the track,
2) Training data such as pace, calorie consumption, heart rate etc.

We assume that you are using tracks more than once. Therefore track data are ignored in the workout recording section. If you have really recorded a new track, please proceed to the track manager (My Tracks) first, to upload the track (TCX-file). Then go to “Create workout” and upload the TCX-file once more to input the training data.

How do I import Garmin Forerunner 305 files?

 Garmin Forerunner files contain training data and gps-data describing a track (route). Depending on whether you import the file when creating a track or training in, the relevant portion of the information is recorded. Usually you run tracks several times, therefore track information is an issue only when a track is created.

Just follow the procedure below:
Save your training from your Garmin Training Center in the tcx-format onto your hard disk. Unfortunately Garmin exports all trainings in one single file. The only work around is to delete undesired trainings temporarily from the Training Center. The Trainings will be restored with the next Forerunner sync. can process multiple trainings/ tracks in one file if its size does not exceed 10 MB. After uploading the file you will get a list of all trainings/ tracks identified in the file. Just select the desired training and import it.

How does 1-2-sports compute energy (calorie) consumption?

 The calorie consumption relates directly to muscle stress during the training. It depends very strongly on your weight, the duration and intensity of your training. Indicators such as athlete’s height or sex are less important.

Our algorithms take into account your weight, stress duration and intensity, for example if someone runs slower or faster.

In case of cycling (mountain biking) we add 10 kg to your weight for the equipment.

How does 1-2-sports compute the calorie curve and the weight curve?

On the overview under My Sports you find a diagram of your weight variation. This curve tracks one year, ending with the current week.

Calorie curve

This curve consists of 52 breakpoints, one for each week. Calorie consumption is cumulated for one week.

Weight curve

This curve also consists of 52 breakpoints. We compute the average weight of all weight data recorded for this week. This will automatically result in a trend curve. In order not to interrupt your weight curve, you just need to record at least one workout per week and to enter the weight before the workout.

Both curves are drawn when at least two measuring points are available, i. e. when at least two workouts in two different weeks have been recorded. This is the reason the curve is not shown during the first week after your registration lest you have recorded your workouts retroactively.

What happens to training data, if I change the track later?

 The training data remains unchanged. Track parameters are recorded when editing training. When a track is changed at a later time, this does not change already recorded trainings.
